The founder and chief executive officer of American Financial Security Life Insurance Company, Boca Raton resident Michael Camilleri draws on several decades of legal experience. Since 2009, Michael Camilleri has also served as a principal with Matrix Consulting, an insurance agency in Boca Raton, Florida. He previously spent 4 years as president and CEO of Clear Spring Property and Casualty Lackawanna Insurance Group.

In addition to owning and operating several companies, Mr. Camilleri has written a number of articles on health care and workers compensation in publications such as the American Bar Association’s Tort & Insurance Law Journal. A highly sought after speaker at national conferences, he has helped draft workers compensation legislation in New York, Illinois, California, Georgia, and Florida.

Mr. Camilleri holds a bachelor of arts from Long Island University and a law degree from Fordham Law School. A member of the American Bar Association, he previously served as chairman of the organization’s Workers Compensation Committee. He is a founding board member of the American Association of Workers Compensation Professionals.
